In A Two-hour Talk With Elon Musk, Donald Trump Says Domestic “Enemies” Were “More Dangerous” Than Foreign

In a two-hour chat on X that was delayed by tech issues, Donald Trump told Elon Musk that domestic “enemies” were more dangerous than foreign threats like Russia and China. The conversation, billed as the “greatest interview ever,” attracted over 1 million listeners, although Musk had expected 8 million.

The talk kicked off with Trump recounting the July assassination attempt against him in Butler, Pennsylvania. He also accused Democrats of orchestrating a “coup” to replace Biden, with Musk suggesting they “took him out back and shot him.”

Trump lashed out at Kamala Harris, calling her a “radical left San Francisco liberal” who now wants to be “more Trump than Trump,” criticizing her shift toward the center on issues like immigration. Despite Harris gaining ground in the polls, Trump struggled to attack her consistently, often avoiding naming her.

Trump also expressed frustration with both external and internal political enemies, claiming “bad people in our government” posed a greater threat than foreign powers. He praised North Korea, China, and Russia’s leaders as “tough, smart, and vicious.”

Musk, a self-proclaimed “free-speech absolutist,” complimented Trump while trying to steer the conversation to moderate topics like immigration reform and government spending. Trump, however, made exaggerated claims about US farmers’ struggles, US car exports, and aid to Ukraine.
