A photo of First Lady Jill Biden sitting next to Vice President Kamala Harris has gone viral online, just days before President Joe Biden’s term ends. The image, which also includes second gentleman Doug Emhoff and first son Hunter Biden, has sparked online chatter about tension in the room.
“Kamala and Jill sitting next to each other during Biden’s Farewell Address. You can feel the tension,” posted one user, along with the photo.
Others quickly followed up, echoing similar sentiments. The unease, some say, is palpable.
Throughout Biden’s presidency, reports have hinted at a strained relationship between the first lady and the vice president. In 2022, a book claimed Jill Biden didn’t want Harris on the ticket after Harris’ comments during the 2020 Democratic debates.
