Wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles have left devastation in their wake, claiming lives, homes, and memories. At least 10 people have died, and around 180,000 residents were forced to evacuate as the flames burned for a third day. Even Hollywood’s elite weren’t spared:
Anthony Hopkins
The Oscar-winning actor’s colonial home in Pacific Palisades was destroyed. It’s the second time he’s lost a home to fire—his London residence burned in 2000, and his Palisades property nearly went up in flames in 2018. At 87, Hopkins faces the challenge of rebuilding once again.
Mel Gibson
The “Mad Max” star lost his Malibu home of over a decade. Describing the loss as “devastating,” Gibson returned from Texas to find his neighborhood “completely toasted.” Thankfully, his family and chickens made it out safely.
