An 85-year-old man named Edward went to the doctor to have his hearing checked.
The doctor examined him and said, “Great news! We’ve got a new, state-of-the-art hearing aid that will restore your hearing to full capacity.”
Edward was overjoyed. “That sounds amazing, doctor! How does it work?”
The doctor showed him the small device and explained, “It’s nearly invisible and fits perfectly in your ear. You’ll hear everything with perfect clarity.”
Edward had the hearing aid fitted and left the clinic, feeling ecstatic.
A month later, he came back for a follow-up visit.
The doctor smiled and asked, “So, Edward, how’s your new hearing aid working?”
Edward grinned. “Doctor, it’s incredible! I can hear perfectly now!”
The doctor nodded. “I’m sure your family is thrilled to finally have proper conversations with you again.”
Edward chuckled. “Well, actually, I haven’t told them yet. I just sit there, listening… and I’ve already updated my will three times!”
