“I said keep quiet! You’re going to jail!” the officer interrupts.
A few hours later, the officer checks on his prisoner. The man is sitting there looking down, so to lighten the mood, the officer says, “Lucky for you, the chief is at his daughter’s wedding. He’ll be in a good mood when he gets back.”
The man looks up and responds, “Don’t count on it.”
The officer is confused. “Why not?”
The man replies, “I’m the groom.”
