Old Age or Something Else?
An elderly man visits his doctor, complaining about a leg pain that won’t go away. The doctor does a thorough exam but can’t find anything physically wrong. After some tests, the doctor says, “The pain in your leg is just a part of getting older. There’s nothing I can do.”
The old man shakes his head, looking puzzled, “That can’t be! You’re wrong!”
The doctor replies, “I’m the expert here. You’re saying I’m wrong? I know what I’m talking about!”
The patient says, “I’m no doctor, but I know that your diagnosis is off. My other leg feels perfectly fine—it’s the same age, but it doesn’t hurt at all!”
