In 2019, Xueli’s photos went viral, leading to a spot on the cover of Vogue Italia. “I didn’t realize how significant that magazine was at the time,” Xueli shared. “It took me a while to understand why it made people so excited.” She believes that while models with disabilities or unique traits are becoming more common, true diversity in the media should be the norm.
Now an advocate for albinism awareness, Xueli uses her platform to educate others, emphasizing that albinism is a genetic condition, not a curse. “I refuse to accept that children are being killed because of their albinism,” she said. “I want to make a difference.”
Today, Xueli’s story is one of hope and resilience, inspiring people around the world to embrace diversity and challenge harmful stereotypes.
