There was a man and a woman. They had never met each other before and both of them were already married to other individuals. Coincidentally, they were assigned to the same sleeping compartment on a transcontinental train.

At first, they felt rather embarrassed and restless about having to share the same room. However, due to extreme tiredness, they soon drifted off to sleep. The man was on the upper berth and the woman was on the lower one.
Around 1:00 in the morning, the man leaned over and softly woke the woman up, saying, “Madam, I’m really sorry to disturb you. But could you do me a favor and reach into the closet to get me an extra blanket? I’m extremely cold.”
The woman replied, “I’ve got a better suggestion. Let’s just pretend that we are a married couple for this one night.”
The man exclaimed, “Wow! That’s an excellent idea!”
The woman then said, “Fine. Go and get your own blasted blanket!”
After a brief moment of silence, the man let out a fart.
