A New Hampshire police officer sprang into action to rescue a baby locked in a hot car, only to discover it was a lifelike doll.
Keene Police Lt. Jason Short was called to a Walmart parking lot on July 23 after someone reported a baby trapped in a car. Seeing what appeared to be feet sticking out from under a blanket, he didn’t hesitate to break the window. But when he pulled the blanket away, he thought the child was unresponsive. After attempting to administer CPR and realizing the baby’s mouth wouldn’t open, he realized something was off—the baby was a realistic-looking doll.
