He opened an account with a florist, furnished the florist with the specific dates and instructed them to send flowers to his wife on those occasions, accompanied by a suitable note signed, “Your loving husband.”
His wife was overjoyed by this newfound attentiveness, and everything proceeded smoothly until one day when he arrived home, kissed his wife, and casually remarked,
