Owls are meat-eaters, mainly feeding on small mammals like rodents, rabbits, and other birds. They also eat insects, fish, and even other owls. Hunting mostly at night, they rely on sharp hearing and eyesight to find prey. Once they see it, they swoop down and grab it with sharp talons.
In many cultures, owls symbolize wisdom. In ancient Greek mythology, the goddess Athena often had an owl as a companion. Native American cultures have numerous stories about owls, seeing them as powerful and wise.
