Leavitt Scolds Reporters After Trump Vindicated: ‘President Was Right’

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt didn’t hold back when calling out the mainstream media for mocking President Donald Trump and conservatives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her comments came after Trump’s new CIA Director, John Ratcliffe, confirmed that intelligence now supports the theory that the virus originated in a lab in Wuhan, China.

Leavitt highlighted how Trump and others were ridiculed when they suggested the virus could have come from the lab. “Many members in this very room mocked him in 2020, calling it a conspiracy theory,” she said during a White House briefing. “Now we know that Trump was right all along. It took years for the truth to come out, but the president was spot-on.”

Ratcliffe weighed in during an interview with Breitbart News, saying that the Biden administration had failed to reveal the truth about the virus’ origins, despite having the opportunity to do so. “The CIA has been sitting on the sidelines for five years on this issue,” Ratcliffe said. “This should have been a priority from day one. The intelligence, science, and common sense all point to a leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”
