A horse owner was steaming mad after his thoroughbred lost yet another race. He stormed over to the jockey.

“Flaherty!” he barked. “Couldn’t you have gone any faster out there?”

The jockey tipped his helmet and said,
“Of course I could’ve, sir… but the rules say I’ve gotta stay on the horse.”
