How to Protect and Wash Clothes Better in the Washing Machine
Many folks notice that clothes washed in a washing machine seem to wear out quickly or even rip. Washing machines, regardless of their type, exert more force than hand – washing, making clothes more prone to damage. Overloading the machine by washing too many clothes at once causes them to squeeze and tangle tightly. As the drum spins, the pulling force can easily tear the fabric. Throwing clothes in haphazardly also leads to twisting and wear.

There’s a simple solution: place 2 capped plastic bottles in the washing machine. They spin along with the clothes, reducing friction between them, preventing tangles and tears. Moreover, during the spin cycle, they act like agitators, knocking and scrubbing the clothes for a better clean.
Here are additional laundry tips:
Sort Clothes First
Before loading clothes into the machine, check pockets for sharp items. Sort by fabric type and color. This prevents light – colored clothes from being stained by dark or poorly – dyed ones.
Soak Clothes
For tough – to – clean materials like cotton or thick garments, soak them in the machine with detergent for 20 – 30 minutes before starting the wash. This loosens stains, making them easier to remove.
Add Rice Vinegar
Put clothes in the drum, add detergent, and 200ml of rice vinegar. Let it soak for 20 minutes before washing. Rice vinegar can remove stubborn stains such as fruit juice and oil, and also eliminates unpleasant odors from fabrics.
