While shopping at Walmart, Braydon’s mom was hit with a parent’s worst nightmare—her son was missing. After frantic searching, she found him kneeling in front of a sign, praying.
Her first instinct was to scold him, but as she got closer, she saw that Braydon wasn’t just lost—he was praying for missing children featured on the sign. The sign read: “Every second counts,” accompanied by pictures of missing kids. Braydon, seeing the faces of these children, had felt compelled to pray for their safe return.
Touched by his empathy, Braydon’s mom shared the story, which quickly went viral. A Facebook page dedicated to missing teen Aubrey Jayce Carroll, who had been missing since 2016, posted the story with gratitude. One commenter wrote, “Whether or not you believe in God doesn’t matter. This was a child thinking of others and doing what he could to help.”
