The Sweet Taste of Karma: A Tale of Betrayal and Redemption

My ex-husband, Dan, had a knack for twisting words. He once told me,

“It’s just harmless fun,”

referring to his affair. Little did he know, karma was biding her time, waiting for the perfect moment to teach him a lesson.

Dan and I had a seemingly idyllic life. We were married for eight years, had two wonderful children, and lived in a warm, cozy home that I’d inherited from my grandmother. I thought our love was unbreakable, until I uncovered his infidelity.

I tried to be forgiving the first time.

But when I caught him in another betrayal, I didn’t hesitate. I filed for divorce without waiting for his apology.

The divorce process was difficult but relatively uncomplicated.

The house rightfully remained mine, we split our finances evenly with no disputes, and Dan, who didn’t want “the burden,” insisted I take full custody of our kids.

Dan promised to move out by the weekend once everything was finalized.
