Why a 65-Year-Old Woman Started Swimming
A 65-year-old woman suddenly ditched her usual bingo nights and took up swimming. Everyone was curious.
“Why the sudden change?” they asked.
With a tired sigh, she explained, “Every time my son and daughter-in-law argue, she asks him, ‘If your mom and I were drowning, who would you save first?’
I don’t want to put my son in that position… so I’m learning to swim!”
A few days later, the couple was fighting again. The wife pressed, “Now answer me! If your mom and I fall into the water, who do you save first?”
The husband shrugged. “I don’t need to choose—my mom can swim. She’ll save you.”
But the wife wasn’t satisfied. “No! You have to jump in and pick one of us! Who’s it gonna be?”
The husband sighed. “Then you’re doomed… because I can’t swim, and my mom will save me first.”

An elderly woman was riding the elevator in a swanky New York high-rise when a young, glamorous woman stepped in. The air instantly filled with the scent of expensive perfume.
The young woman smirked and said, “Ralph Lauren’s Romance. $150 an ounce.”
A second young woman entered, just as glamorous, and added smugly, “Chanel No. 5. $200 an ounce.”
Three floors later, as the old woman reached her stop, she turned to them, locked eyes, bent slightly… and let one rip.
Then she smiled and said, “Broccoli. 49 cents a pound.”
