One sunny afternoon, Sarah came home with a huge smile on her face.
She rushed to find her husband, Tom, who was in the living room reading the newspaper.
“Tom, remember those awful headaches I’ve been dealing with for years?”
she exclaimed.
“Well, they’re completely gone!”
Tom looked up, surprised.
“No more headaches? That’s amazing! But how?”
Sarah explained,
“My friend Margie told me about a hypnotist. He had me stand in front of the mirror and repeat, ‘I do not have a headache; I do not have a headache, I do not have a headache.’ And you know what? It worked like a charm!”
After sharing her good news, Sarah gave Tom a thoughtful look.
“You know, Tom, things haven’t been as lively as they used to be in the bedroom these past few years. Why don’t you give that hypnotist a try and see if he can help?”
Tom, a bit hesitant but willing to give it a shot, agreed.
